Faith is Not the Absence of Uncertainty

Life doesn’t always give us answers when we want them.

Sometimes we find ourselves waiting—for healing, for clarity, for a loved one, for an opportunity, or simply for a sign that we’re on the right path. In those moments, uncertainty can feel heavy, tempting us to believe that because we cannot yet see the ending, the story is already written.

But perhaps faith is something quieter than certainty.

We plant seeds before we see sprouts.

We light candles before we receive answers.

We whisper our prayers before we hear a reply.

Hope is not a guarantee of tomorrow. It is the quiet decision to greet tomorrow with an open heart.

Choosing hope doesn’t mean denying uncertainty. It means refusing to let uncertainty close the door on possibility.

So if you are waiting for something today, be gentle with yourself. Trust that not every story reveals its ending all at once.

Keep your heart open.

Keep the porch light on.

Keep believing that some journeys simply take a little longer to find their way home.
